Viña Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Don Domingo Fernández Concha, a leading businessman and public figure. Don Domingo brought the finest French grape varieties together with special equipment and a team of top winemakers from France to the rich soils of the Maipo Valley. This brought with it previously unknown techniques in Chile that changed the way wine is made in the country and produced spectacular results.
