The Ananda was originally designed and built as a charter ship. In 2011 it was completely sarnished and rebuilt in its current state. Only hand-picked fine teak from Sulawesi was used for their decks.
The boards were dried for over a year before being processed into the floors. In order to ensure optimal capability for the high seas, the shipbuilders have used twice as many deck beams as is usual for the hull construction.
