Between April and November this camp comes to life. It is a seasonal glamping camp, perfectly embedded in a grove of mopane trees on the bank of a tributary of the Huab River and therefore almost invisible. A total of 8 bungalows with typical thatched roofs are available with shower, toilet, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, a kettle and a large terrace for a maximum of 16 guests.
There is also a main building, the roof of which is shaped like a mountain, with a lounge, a wonderful long table for dining together, a bar and even a small library. There are also two swimming pools on site, one of which is fed with hot water from the Huab spring.
Once founded to save animals from extinction and to protect nature, today it is one of the most popular lodges due to its sensational location in the middle of a nature reserve.
Dear Julia,
here is my almost traditional feedback mail. Long and detailed, but hopefully valuable for you.
As always, it was a great holiday and in these special times, appreciated even more by all of us than the other great trips. For me it was one of our best family vacations ever, because we had such a harmonious time as a family. Here in Hamburg we hang out together 24/7, but Lapland was different. Great conversations, many shared experiences during activities and above all a lot of childlike joy in nature and the simple things like sliding down the hill from the Safari Camp with plastic sheeting.
