The Chapada Diamantina National Park is a green island in the middle of the arid Sertão (hinterland) in the heart of the state of Bahia. The green landscape is the result of the high mountains of the Sincorá range, which catch the rains coming from the Atlantic coast. The result is countless cascades and waterfalls in this beautiful and huge nature reserve (152,000 hectares). There are also dozen of historic towns and villages where time seems to have stood still at the end of the diamond boom.
We are back from our great Costa Rica vacation. Thank you for the excellent organization! Everything went smoothly. The choice of accommodation was excellent, with the Origins Lodge in particular being unique, even spectacular. The guides were also consistently competent and we were particularly impressed by Edgar, whom you specifically mentioned.
We will be happy to contact you again on one of our next vacations.
