The Kalahari Gemsbok National Park is located on the edge of the mighty Kalahari Desert and extends all the way to Botswana. The park follows two seasonal rivers, the Auob and the Nossob. It is famous for its lions and is home to many other species. The bird world is also extremely interesting with over 200 species. Sheltered by the Koranna Mountains in the southern Kalahari, the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park offers numerous different landscapes, from the famous red sand to the open savannah.
